Talking to media persons after giving orientation to the party activists at the party´s headquarters in Koteshwar, Dahal said that the party was preparing to intensify the protests as there was a slim chance to forge agreement with ruling political parties over their demands.
Dahal, however, said that the protests activities would be peaceful.
The Maoist Vice Chair Dr Babu Ram Bhattarai said the call of ruling parties to sit for dialogue on Thursday holds no meaning. He said the fresh protest programs scheduled to begin from Sunday would be decisive.
Among other things, the Maoists have demanded formation of a national government under their leadership and discussion on the resolution motion against the president in the parliament.
