RAJBIRAJ, March 12: Sanghiya Samajwadi Forum Nepal (SSFN) Chairman Upendra Yadav said the people would retaliate if the government tries to suppress 'peaceful' movement in Madhes.
Speaking at a press conference organized in Saptari today by Sanghiya Press Forum, Saptari, he termed the Saptari incident a result of racialist thinking.
Claiming that the existing practice of local level structure is impractical and wrong and there is discrimination among Madhes, hill and mountain, he stressed the need for amending 'faults and shortcomings' in the constitution.
Leader Yadav ruled out the relevance of the elections as the country had entered in federal set up. He added that the UDMF and Federal Alliance will obstruct the elections if it was held without their consent.
He urged the government to give an explanation to the Parliament regarding the incident of shooting of a Nepali national by the SSB, the Indian border security force personnel, in Kanchanpur.
He added the constitution amendment proposal with revision should be passed to address their demands.
Leader Yadav added that the relevance of their support to the incumbent government would be ended within seven days if their demands were not heard. RSS
