NIC opens 23rd branch

KATHMANDU, Dec 31: NIC Bank has opened its 23rd branch in Malangawa in Sarlahi.



The branch opened on Thursday will provide a full range of products and services, including all modern banking facilities like trade finance, remittance, business banking, ATM/debit cards and SMS banking, among others, says a press release. The branch is connected with all other branches through a V-SAT network.



The release further notes that the bank will soon be opening two more new branches, one in Teku in Kathmandu and other in Mahendranagar in Kanchanpur.



The bank recently announced bonus shares of 15 percent and cash dividend of 0.79 percent for the year 2008. It is also installing 25 ATMs all over the country, of which 5 are already operational, whilst the rest are in the process of installation, according to the release.
