During a meeting held at Oman´s foreign ministry, the duo discussed entire gamut of bilateral relations as well as possible areas of cooperation between the two countries in view of Nepal establishing its residential embassy in the Gulf nation.
“The meeting was focused on various aspects of bilateral issues such as trade and investment promotion, exchange of high-level visits and providing dignified and safe employment opportunities to Nepalese nationals,” read a statement issued by the Nepal´s embassy in the Omani Capital, Muscat. While receiving Aryal, the deputy foreign minister expressed happiness hoping that establishment of the Nepal´s embassy would help to take bilateral relations between the two countries to a new height. He also hoped that Nepal would be a peaceful, prosperous and stable country through economic development.
The Deputy Foreign Minister while appreciating the contribution of Nepalese migrant workers in Oman informed that Oman wants to establish its embassy in Nepal. “The Nepalese migrant workers are skillful and hard-working,” the statement quoted minister as saying in the meeting.
Aryal is the Nepal´s first Acting Ambassador to Oman after Nepal established residential diplomatic mission about two week ago. Earlier, Nepal´s embassy in Saudi Arabia was concurrently accredited to Oman. Oman is emerging as one of the most-favored destinations for the Nepalese migrant workers among other gulf countries for the past several years.
