Nepali cricket team wins another match

KATHMANDU, April 16: Nepali national cricket team won its second practice match in Jaipur, India defeating Nirja Modi-XI by 69 runs on Tuesday.



Nepal had defeated Star Academy of Jaipur by three wickets on Monday. Nepali team is in India to prepare for the ICC World Cricket League Division 3 to be held in Bermuda from April 28 to May 5. Batting first Nepal garnered 269/7 in the 50-over match and restricted Nirja to 190/8. [break]



Amrit Bhattarai claimed the highest three wickets for Nepal, while Sanjam Regmi took two and Basanta Regmi and Rahul BK shared a wicket each. Binod Bhandari (67), Paras Khadka (51) and Gyanendra Malla (50) were the major contributors for Nepal.



Similarly, Sarad Vesawkar (46), Prithu Baskota (11), Pradip Airee (22 not out) and Basanta Regmi (11 not out) also added to Nepal´s total. Meanwhile, Nepali team will attend the IPL match between Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians to be played on Wednesday. Rajasthan has arranged for the Nepali team to watch the match.
