KATHMANDU, Sept 28: Nepal on Monday registered victory in the team event of the 22nd Asian Table Tennis Tournament being held in Pattaya, Thailand.
According to All Nepal Table Tennis Association President Chaturananda Raj Baidya, Nepal earned victory in both men's and women's team events. Nepal beat Turkmenistan 3-0 in men's event.

Purusottam Bajracharya beat Ahmed Rashid 3-2, Deep Saun earned a 3-1 victory and Shiva Sundar Gothe beat Yokob David 3-0 in the men's singles event.
In the women's event, Nepal beat Bangladesh 3-1 with Rabina Maharjan earning 3-0 win, Swechha Nembang 3-2 win while Selisha Khadgi went down 2-3.
