A total of 360 army personnel – 300 from the Nepal Army and 60 from the US Army – are to participate in the training.

The main objective of the training is to develop the Nepal Army’s role in directing international assistance during a disaster-related crisis.

The joint parachute training on October 26 will commence with the arrival of a C-130 aircraft between October 24 and 25, NA said in a statement issued on Friday.

The Nepal Army and the US Pacific Command recently completed a Disaster Response and Emergency Exercise in Kathmandu.
