Nepal´s Sita Magar (10) and Shobha Ale (8) shared a 24-run opening stand, before Indu Barma (4) and Sarita Magar (1) saw the team home. Earlier, Nary Thapa took three wickets and Rubina Chhetri grabbed two wickets to bundle out Hong Kong for a small total.
For Hong Kong, its opener Yip Sze Wan tops-cored with 12, with next maximum runs (10) coming as extras.
On Wednesday, Nepal´s dream of playing in the final of ACC Women´s Championship was shattered as the Nepali team collapsed to its lowest ever total in the semifinal against Thailand. Thailand had pulled off an emphatic seven-wicket victory after skittling Nepal out for a paltry 38 runs.
In the final match played today, host Thailand defeated China by 17 runs to clinch the title. Batting first, Thailand amassed 95 runs in 25 overs. In reply, China managed only 78 runs in 24.4 overs.
