RAUTAHAT, April 24: Senior CPN-UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal urged party cadres to begin election campaigns, on Wednesday.
Speaking to party cadres here in Chandranigahpur, leader Nepal claimed that his party would win majority seats in the upcoming Constituent Assembly (CA) elections if party cadres are mobilized in the elections by expanding the party’s district organizations.[break]
Referring to the UCPN (Maoist) Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s recent statement that the UML is no more existing among the people, he said that such remark was an outcome of his ‘mental imbalance’.
Meanwhile, inaugurating a dairy firm at Pipara VDC of the district, Nepal stressed on the need of strengthening the party organization by putting aside intra-party differences to win the next elections.
According to Ram Kumar Bhattarai, the UML district chairman, leader Nepal is scheduled to visit various VDCs of the district to meet local party cadres.
People loose hopes against Maoists
Speaking at another program in Garuda of the home district Rautahat, Nepal said people have lost hopes against UCPN (Maoist) as the party failed to play constructive roles for peace and constitution.
Referring to earlier Constituent Assembly (CA) as a storm, the former prime minister said a party cannot be a largest one for a long time. He also blamed the UCPN (Maoist) for failing to draft new constitution as it was the largest party.
