GORKHA, May 6: Four cadres of Naya Shakti Party Nepal (NSPN) were injured in a clash with the cadres of the CPN (Maoist Center) during an election campaign in the district on Saturday.
The NSPN cadres, who were heading to the district headquarters, by a jeep from Laxmi bazaar, were attacked by the CPN (Maoist Center) cadres in Gorkha Municipality-9, according to Gyanendra Kumal, mayoral candidate of NSPN.

CPN (Maoist Cadres) have vandalized the Bolero jeep with registration no. Ga 2 Cha 3364, being used by NSPN cadres who were out for the election campaign.
Subas Kumal, Bhim Bahadur Kumal, Tilak Ramtel, Dipak Kumal sustained injuries in the attack. They are undergoing treatment at a local hospital.
Gyanendra Kumal from NSPN and Krishna Rana from CPN (Maoist Center) are contesting elections for the post of Mayor in Gorkha Municipality.
A huge number of security personnel have been deployed in the incident site to prevent further clashes, said SP Janak Raj Pandeya of District Police Office, Gorkha.
