A central working committee meeting of the party held in Sanepa on Saturday formed several committees to successfully hold the convention in Kathmandu. [break]
According to NC Spokesperson Arjun Narsingh KC, the meeting formed a finance committee led by Deep Kumar Upadhyaya, publicity committee led by Krishna Prasad Sitaula and internal management committee led by Laxman Prasad Ghimire to prepare for the convention.
Likewise, the party also gave responsibility to Chakra Prasad Bastola to coordinate foreigners visiting the convention and party´s sister organization Nepal Former Army Men´s Association to manage security for the convention.
The party will hold the inaugural session of the convention at Dasharath Stadium and closed session at Bhrikuti Mandap. The voting will be held at Nepal Academy.
Over 3,000 representatives from across the country will take part in the general convention. This will include 12 members each from all 240 election constituencies and representatives of the party´s sister organizations, well wisher organizations and the central working committee.
The NC has already conducted its village, municipal and constituency level conventions. District level conventions are to be completed by August 12.
