KATHMANDU, Sept 3: Amid complaints of irregularities in the distribution of the party´s active memberships, Nepali Congress (NC) has decided to annul all active memberships distributed so far and start a fresh distribution process.
A Central Working Committee meeting of the party on Wednesday took a decision to this effect after several central members alleged that active memberships were distributed without the party´s official decision, apparently to influence the party´s upcoming 12th general convention.
It has been reported that active memberships were distributed in 11 districts, latest being the case of Sujata Koirala distributing some 12,000 active memberships in Sunsari alone.
