NC constituency-level convention

KATHMANDU, July 31: Nepali Congress held its electoral constituency-level convention in over 60 districts across the country on Saturday.



According NC Convention Election Committee, conventions were held smoothly except in Kathmandu Constituency -7, where it has been put off.



Reports from districts said there have been tough competitions between candidates supporting establishment faction and Sher Bahadur Deuba-led faction while in other places representatives have been elected unanimously.



Earlier, the party had deferred conventions in Solukhumbu, Bajura, Dolpa and Dadeldhura till August 12 citing difficulty for the party´s lawmakers from these districts to arrive Kathmandu to vote in the election for the prime minister on August 2.
