KATHMANDU, June 11: Minister for Communications and Information Technology Nainakala Thapa has been entrusted with the responsibility of the government’s spokesperson.
According to Surya Thapa, press adviser to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, a cabinet meeting held on Thursday at the Prime Minister’s Office in Singha Durbar made a decision to appoint Minister Thapa as the spokesperson of the government.
The role of spokesperson is normally given to the Minister for Communications and Information Technology. Prime Minister K P Oli had appointed Thapa as Communications Minister along with six other ministers earlier on Thursday to give a full shape to the cabinet.
