MORANG (Pathari), March 20: The Gayatri Sanskrit Secondary School in Biratnagar-10 has students from the local Muslim community learning Sanskrit language and literature.

Of the total 437 students in the school, 31 are from the Muslim community. Free education provided by the school has attracted Muslim students toward Sanskrit education, says schoolteacher Chakra Pani Upadhyaya.

Apart from following the regular curriculum, students from grade 6 to 10 have to study Sanskrit language and literature carrying 200 marks, added Upadhyaya. The School has also been providing its students text books for free of cost, attracting a large number of children from the marginalized community. RSS
