A central committee meeting of MPRF-D held on Tuesday said the party will take stringent action against the lawmakers if they defy the instruction and violate party discipline. [break]
“The party did not take any strong action against them as it was their first wrongdoing,” MPRF-D chief whip Ramjanam Chaudhari told Republica.
Mandal and Begum have been accused of being involved in activities against the party´s interests and conspiring to split the party.
However, MPRF-D could not take action against another lawmaker Sanjay Sah as the Patan Appellate Court on Monday issued a show cause notice to the party asking why Sah was not given a chance to furnish clarification. The party had decided to scrap Sah´s party membership for involvement in financial irregularities.
Sah had moved the court stating he was not given the opportunity to furnish clarification as per the law.
MPRF-D on July 10 had asked the three lawmakers to furnish clarification within 72 hours.
