KATHMANDU, June 19: Shram Sanskriti Party chairperson and lawmaker Harka Raj Rai Sampang has expressed dissatisfaction over the conduct of the government and Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal.
Speaking during the special time of Friday’s House of Representatives (HoR) meeting, MP Sampang voiced concerns over what he described as a lack of attention to the opposition’s voice, accusing the ruling side of moving ahead without listening to dissenting opinions in Parliament.

He demanded correction of a controversial statement made by the Prime Minister that “Nepal has also encroached on India’s territory” and requested that the Speaker remove the statement, which he described as “traitorous,” from the parliamentary record.
“The opposition keeps speaking, the ruling side keeps listening. It has already been 16 days since we demanded correction of the Prime Minister’s statement, but no one is listening. Be responsible,” he said.
He further stressed the need for morality and accountability in politics, expressing frustration that he had not been able to review the Defence Ministry’s budget book.
The lawmaker also sought clarification from the government regarding media reports claiming that Nepali citizens were held hostage in Patna, India, in the name of networking.
