KATHMANDU, July 24: The ongoing influence of monsoon winds is expected to bring rain to various regions of the country, as reported by the Meteorological Forecasting Division.
Currently, the low-pressure system associated with the monsoon is stable, leading to general weather changes in mountainous and hilly areas, while the plains experience partial changes. Light rain has been observed in select locations across the Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces.
Heavy rainfall likely in some provinces today
The forecast indicates a likelihood of moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in certain areas of the Himalayan and hilly regions, as well as in the Terai regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.
Additionally, heavy rainfall is anticipated in isolated locations within the hilly areas of Lumbini province and the Himalayan and hilly regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.
The weather is expected to remain generally cloudy throughout the night, with continued chances of moderate rain and thunderstorms in various provinces, including Koshi, Madhesh, and Sudurpashchim.
