MoIC forms probe committee over NT mobile service disruption

KATHMANDU, Sept 30: The Ministry of Information and Communication (MoIC) has formed a probe committee over the disruption of GSM mobile service of Nepal Telecom (NT) in the early hours on Saturday morning.



MoIC formed the three-member committee led by Suresh Kumar Budhathoki to look into the matter.[break]



The mobile services of both postpaid and prepaid had gone out of order for four hours on early Saturday morning.



Dhruba Sharma, Scretary at MoIC said, “A probe committee has been formed to find out the actual reasons behind the disruption of mobile service as millions of its subscribers were affected due to service disruption.”



Earlier, the NT had said that the mobile service was disrupted due to technical glitches.
