Missing 34 visiting members returned home after 7 days

DAMAULI, May 1: The members of a 34-member team of the Sarbakalyan Cooperativesof Byas Municipality-2 of Tanahun district, who were out of contact since Saturday, have come in contact today. They safely returned home today.

They were on a trip to Kavre for visiting the Namuna Cooperatives of Kavrepalanchowk district.


According to the vice-chairperson of the cooperative Sunita Poudel, who was in the same visiting team, they were on the way to Khasa, the Tibet autonomous region of China, on a visit after completing their tasks and had been stranded there due to the earthquake.

She added that five members including herself were rescued and dropped at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu by Nepalese Army helicopter, however, other members of the team themselves came their home. RSS
