He was shot dead at Bishnupura of Rupandehi on the way to his home at 9:30 p.m.
According to locals, two people riding a motorcycle bike had shot him. He sustained bullet injuries to his head and back.
But on Tuesday afternoon, Tarai Janatantrik Mukti Morcha cadres claimed responsibility for killing Yadav. They owned up Yadav´s murder through a telephone call to local journalists in Butwal.
Maoist Rupandehi assistant in-charge Basanta Shrestha denounced the murder and demanded stern action against the culprits.
