KATHMANDU, Dec 30: Police on Thursday seized an illegally imported vehicle reportedly owned by the Maoist lawmaker and former minister Khadga Bahadur Bishwakarma in the capital.

The Mitsubishi Pajero Jeep (Ba.001.Ah 34) was seized from Chabahil on Thursday evening.

Following the seizure, Bishwakarma had appeared at the Metropolitan Police Range Kathmandu (MPRK) claiming that the vehicle had been legally imported.

But MPRK claims the vehicle was seized after ascertaining that it had no legal documents.

According to MPRK chief SP Ramesh Kharel, the lawmaker was made to sign a paper to report back on Friday for interrogations.
