Under the re-launch, the company said it would make Everest toothpaste available in packs of 50 grams and 100 grams in the Kathmandu Valley from Monday. They will be available in markets outside the Valley from November 19 only.
The re-launched toothpaste is white chalk based product. The company has priced Rs 20 for 50 gram pack and Rs 40 for 100 gram pack.
´The re-introduced products are of high quality and more competitive in terms of prices,” said Kishor Khanal, chairman of ECP. Khanal added that the company had closed productions due to the lack of proper industrial policy during insurgency.

According to the ECP, Everest toothpaste had won gold medals in Monde Selection -- a quality competition award in London in 1982 and in Rome in 1983.
“When Everest toothpaste was available in the market, international brands had faced difficulty to compete it,” said Saurabh Khanal, marketing director of the company.
“We will be re-introducing Everest toothbrush in the Nepali market from January. We will also be introducing Everest Ice Cool -- a gel based toothpaste which will be manufactured by using water from the Everest after two or three months,” said Saurabh.
