Participants will be trained by singer Abhaya Subba and journalists Rabindra Mishra and Navin Khatiwada in the workshop which will last for five hours at Islington College in Kamal Pokhari. Subba is the face of the rock band Abhaya and the Steam Injuns, and it is under her leadership that the 'Women In Concert' is organized on International Women's Day each year."If we can manage to include more and more youth in leadership workshops then it will help in nation building process. I take this workshop as an opportunity for me to exchange ideas," said the singer who will be speaking on leadership.
Journalist Mishra has trained many young people in leadership roles and developing one's abilities. Mishra, who heads BBC Nepali Service, will be instructing participants on public speaking.
At the same time, participants will learn about team building from writer and journalist Khatiwada. Team work is an important part of leadership and Khatiwada will hold an interactive session during his training.
"We're encouraging young people who are interested in rebuilding the nation to join the workshop. We are continuing the Chiya Guff sessions after the earthquake with this leadership training," informed Smriti Dhungana of the Chiya Guff team.
Registration will cost Rs 100 for each participant.
