“Not a single leader speaking during Monday’s meeting opposed Chairman Baidya’s proposal,” party spokesperson Pampha Bhusal told Republica. Party leaders who spoke during Sunday’s meeting also supported Baidya’s proposal to the hilt.[break]
Baidya in his document has mentioned that the party should go for election boycott arguing that the elections are being held only to serve the interests of reactionaries and foreign powers. Baidya, however, has also stated in the document that his party is open to talks for resolving the differences regarding the elections.
According to Bhusal, the CC meeting will conclude Tuesday. She informed that remaining leaders will put forth their views on Tuesday morning and Chairman Baidya, General Secretary Ram Bahadur Thapa and Secretary Netra Bikram Chand will furnish answers to questions over the documents presented.
Baidya had presented his political document, Thapa program of organizational struggle and Chand had presented document on military formations for concluding the “people’s revolt” on the basis of the “people’s war.”
