KATHMANDU, April 21 : Nepal Swimming Association (NSA) is set to hold the 20th National Swimming Tournament from Aril 27-28 at the Swimming Complex, Satdobato to select players for the 16th FINA World Swimming Tournament.

Four players -- two men and two women -- will be selected for the tournament, according to NSA President Ashok Bajracharya. All events, included in the Olympics, will be included in the tournament that will also pick 10 men and 10 women swimmers for national team.

KATHMANDU: Kumar Basnet of Sarlahi and Hiran Rai of Lalitpur on Monday secured the Third Jeet Kune Do National Combat Fight Tournament in the men's 57 kg and 57.5 kg respectively. Kumar beat Prakash Rimal of Kathmandu, while Hiran defeated Sanjay Rana of Nuwakot at the Covered Hall of National Sports Council. Kumar and Hiran bagged Rs 10,000 each, while second and third in both sections got Rs 5,000 and Rs 3,000 respectively.
