TAPLEJUNG, March 5: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sushil Koirala cast doubt on the possibility of an election government under the leadership of sitting chief justice and said the matter will be settled only after the apex court issues hearing on the writ filed against the proposal.

“In the first place, the chief justice has not agreed yet (to lead the government). On the other hand, the political parties have not fully reached consensus in that regard, “ Koirala said speaking at a press conference in Taplejung on Tuesday. [break]

Koirala also ruled out any possibility of new Constituent Assembly election before mid-June. “Both the Maoist party and Madhesi parties want the election to be deferred,” he said. “The proposal of a CJ-led government could be their card, this time.” Categorically asked if there has been no agreement made to form a CJ-led government, Koirala said, despite his party´s optimum flexibility,  the chances are becoming slimmer day by day and blamed the ruling Maoist party for that.
