Talking to reporters after the meeting, Koirala said discussions were held on calling parliament session as soon as possible and continuing the prime ministerial election process.
Talks were also held on the present peace process and constitution drafting forging consensus and collaboration among parties, he said.
Khanal said that the President expressed concern over the prolonged political deadlock.
