At the meeting, the two sides signed a bilateral deal that India will provide 764 vehicles for Nepal´s election purpose—48 to the Election Commission and the rest 716 to the home ministry. [break]
Khurshid touched down at the Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu on a special Air India plane at 9 am today. Before meeting Chairman Regmi, the Indian foreign minister held a meeting with his Nepali counterpart Madhav Prasad Ghimire for about half an hour.
After his meeting with Regmi, Khurshid reached the president’s office at Shital Niwas and held bilateral talks. Now the Indian minister is scheduled to take part in luncheon being hosted by his Nepali counterpart Ghimire.
At 2:30 pm, Khurshid will meet top leaders of Nepal’s various political parties at Dwarika´s Hotel, Kathmandu. He will fly back to New Delhi at 6 in the evening.
