Khanal demands PM's resignation

DANG (Tulsipur), Jan 27: Chairperson of the CPN-UML, Jhalanath Khanal demanded resignation of the Prime Minister saying the peace and constitution-drafting process has been stalled due to the working style of the government.



At a press meet organized here today by Press Chautari Dang, Khanal said, ´Resignation by the Prime Minister is the only outlet to the current problem. Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai should clear the way for the formation of consensus government by tendering resignation´,  [break]



Khanal further said, ´It is not apt for the Prime Minister to make remarks that the consensus government will also be formed under own leadership instead of resigning from the post´.



The party chairperson had arrived here on Thursday evening in course of the UML seventh Rapti zonal level leaders and cadres training to take place in Ghorahi from today.



Party secretary Shanker Pokharel accompanied Khanal in the event.
