POKHARA, March 5: Voter turnout in Kaski reached 50 percent by 3:30 PM in the ongoing House of Representatives election, according to the District Election Office.
Chief Election Officer Himlal Belbase said that 151,144 votes had been cast out of a total 308,572 registered voters in the district.

Of the total votes cast, 71,127 were women, 72,016 men, and one voter identified as other, he added.
Election officials estimate that the final turnout in Kaski may reach around 60 percent by the end of voting. Voters who enter polling stations before the 5 PM closing time will be allowed to cast their ballots.
