Locals claimed that the family of police inspector Chet Bahadur Khadka had burned the body of Ghanashyam Mahato, 16, with electric iron for not working properly.
Police arrived on the scene after locals vandalized the house. Police fired seven tear-gas shells to disperse the crowd. Inspector Jeevan Gurung and ASI Ram Kumar Rai sustained head injuries in the clash.
Tension subsided at 7 pm after police took the victim to Kanti Children´s Hospital and promised action against the guilty.
