Junior TT team leaves for Delhi today

KATHMANDU: A 13-member junior table tennis team comprising 10 players will leave for New Delhi, India on Friday to compete in the South Asian Junior Table Tennis Tournament to be held from July 20 to 22.



The team includes five players each from the boys and girls category. Mani Lama, Piyus Agrawal, Nihal Shrestha will compete in the junior boys´ section and Kajol Rauniyar, Manita Chitrakar and Sunita Lama will compete in the senior girls section. [break]



Krishna Thapa Magar and Syantu Shrestha will compete for cadet boys, and Sonu Thapa Magar and Gita Aryal will compete for cadet girls category. The team will be accompanied by coach Sanjay Aryal and manager Nabin Bahadur Singh. Binod Shakya will perform the role of referee. The office bearers of National Sports Council and All Nepal Table Tennis Association bade farewell to the team on Thursday.
