Jhang won all three girls´ events in the two-day championship held at the National Sports Council (NSC) covered hall. She won gold in floor, vaulting table and individual all-round events with the scores of 8.80, 7 and 15.80 points. [break]
Reshika Shrestha of Lalitpur scored 8.60, 6.50 and 15.10 points in floor, vaulting table and individual all-round events respectively to claim second position. Similarly, Lalita Rai of Kathmandu finished third in all the three events.
Meanwhile, Aman Tamang bagged two more gold medals in senior boys´ category to take his gold medal tally to four in the championship organized by the NSC-recognized Nepal Gymnastics Association. Tamang had won two gold medals on Friday.
The Lalitpur boy won gold medals in vaulting table and individual all-round events on Saturday. Tamang and Bishnu Bata from Bhaktapur scored equal 2.85 points in vaulting and shared the first position.
Tamang scored 24.65 points in all-round to finish ahead of Bhuwan Giri from Kailali. Giri scored 23.40 points.
Rikesh Tamang clinched gold medal in pommel horse event with 3 points. Giri finished in second spot as he got 2 points in the event.
However, Giri won the title of floor event with 7.50 points. Aman Tamang remained 0.50 points behind Giri.
Altogether 130 gymnasts from 16 districts and Nepal Army participated in the 14 events of the championship.
