India vacates `encroached` Nepali land

KATHMANDU, Jan 13: Members of Indian security forces, who were setting up camps in the Nepali land at Gufapatal of Sriantu-8 in Ilam district, vacated the Nepali land on Monday following protests from Nepal. According to Kantipur daily, the Indians had been working to set up the camp for the Indian forces for last two weeks. However, TT Bhotiya, an Indian official, said the camp was being set up for the purpose of "a survey".
