Nepali customers with different levels of purchasing power can buy branded sandals from a price range of Rs 250 to Rs 5,295 per pair. [break]
International brands such as Bata, Woodland, Signature, Adidas, Nike, Reebok and Liberty have dominated the market here for the last few years.
Authorized dealers of these brands are offering sandals to match the economic status of customers, who are now more conscious about quality.
“We are offering branded sandals to our customers at far cheaper prices than other brands,” said Balkrishna Karanjit, sales in-charge of the Bata showroom at Tebahal, New Road. Bata sandals are available for both ladies and gents from two exclusive showrooms at Tebahal and Pyukha, also in the New Road area. Bata is offering lady´s sandals for Rs 250 to Rs 525 a pair.
Similarly Adidas, the leading sports-wear producer, has been offering Vietnam-made Callow, Chiwa and Paruko varieties of lady´s sandals through showrooms at Durbar Marg, Putalisadak, Blubird Mall and Ranjana Gally.
"Sandals from Adidas are not only stronger but also more comfortable and lighter than ordinary sandals" said Rabin Shrestha, salesman at the Adidas showroom at Durbar Marg.
Likewise, other international brands like Woodland, Signature and Nike are also offering lady´s sandals with added benefits. Woodland is offering sandals made of calf leather and camel leather through its exclusive showroom at Durbar Marg.
