KATHMANDU, Feb 1: Singer Eleena Chauhan urged people not to take her divorce petition, filed at the Kathmandu District Court, too seriously. She posted a video on her official TikTok handle on Saturday making this request.

"I don't know how the court matter got out, but instead of publicizing it on a large scale, please ignore it," she said.

She also asked people not to abuse her husband. "You can insult me as much as you want, but please don't do that to him. We have decided to divorce by mutual agreement," she said. "No one should say that marriage will end in divorce. Marriage is meant to last for seven lifetimes, especially in Hindu culture."

She revealed that they had a lot of conflict even while they were in a relationship before marriage. Despite that she flung herself into the marriage. She said, "I made a hasty decision to get married. Even during our relationship, we had a lot of conflict. But I married thinking I could tolerate it. However, as time passed, I couldn't bear it anymore. Things didn't turn out as he had expected."

She mentioned that constant calls from different numbers have been adding to her distress and requested people not to call her.
