House adjourned due to Maoist obstruction

KATHMANDU, May 18: The Maoist lawmakers obstructed the regular session of the parliament on Monday as well. The lawmakers chanted slogans immediately after Speaker Subas Nembang announced the beginning of the session. Following the obstruction from Maoist lawmakers, Speaker Nembang announced that the adjournment of the session for Tuesday at 3 p.m. [break]



The Maoists have been obstructing the House at a time when their government has been reduced to a caretaker status. The obstruction by Maoist lawmakers has delayed government formation.
