KATHMANDU, March 7: Shram Shakti Party candidate Harka Raj Rai (Sampang) has widened his lead over Rastriya Swatantra Party candidate Goma Tamang in Sunsari-1.
According to the Office of the Election Officer, out of 15,378 votes counted from wards 1 to 6 of Dharan, Sampang has secured 5,891 votes. Sarina Tamang is trailing with 4,809 votes.

Similarly, Nepali Communist Party candidate Surya Bahadur Bhattarai has received 1,291 votes.
Other candidates from CPN-UML, Nepali Congress, and Rastriya Prajatantra Party have garnered below 1,000 votes.
