BIRGUNJ, Oct 16: Maoist Vice Chairman Dr Baburam Bhattarai has claimed that the fall of government is inevitable despite elevation of Sujata Koirala to the post of deputy prime minister.

"The government is on the brink of collapse and that situation may come anytime soon. Though attempts are made to prolong it by adding the number of ministers, the strategy will not work," he said. He said his party is in favor of showing flexibility for consensus but not to make any compromise on the issue of civilian supremacy.

"We will try to forge consensus. If we fail, then our next option is certainly to launch the movement," he clarified, adding that a national consensus government will be formed thenafter.
