Election inevitable for effective implementation of constitution: PM Deuba

NEW YORK, Sept (RSS): Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that it was inevitable to hold all three tiers of elections in the stated dates for the effective implementation of the constitution.

NEW YORK, Sept: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that it was inevitable to hold all three tiers of elections in the stated dates for the effective implementation of the constitution. 



Prime Minister, Deuba, who is in New York in course of attending the 72nd Session of the UNGA, said this at a reception programe organized by Nepali Janasamparka Samiti, US Chapter on Thursday in his honour. 



Noting that the long-cherished aspiration of promulgating the new Constitution of Nepal through people's representatives has materialized after a long journey of political struggle, he said, "The local level elections have been successfully held. The significant phase of the constitution implementation would be over following parliamentary and provincial elections". 



The peace process initiated under the leadership of the then NC President Girija Prasad Koirala has come to the final stage now, PM Deuba noted, adding that Nepal would move to the path of prosperity after the implementation of the statute. 



On the occasion, Chapter President Ananda Bista said the mature political leadership of PM Deuba has enabled environment in the country to onboard all political parties in the elections and the country's new way is to be for economic prosperity.
