KATHMANDU, Sept 29: Nepal Rastra Bank Governor Dr Yubaraj Khatiwada is undergoing treatment at ICU ward of the Gangalal National Heart Centre (GNHC).
He was admitted to the hospital on Saturday after he fell unconscious at a public function. [break]
According to a doctor involved in the treatment, they are preparing to fit a pacemaker in his heart. However, he clarified that Khatiwada did not receive heart attack.
“Dr Khatiwada is suffering from the problem of slowing down the heart beats,” said Dr Man Bahadur KC, Director at the hospital, adding, “He will be discharged after a day or two after he was fitted with a pacemaker.”
