Gold, silver prices fall

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of one tola of hallmarked gold now stands at Rs 307,700, while the same quantity of silver is priced at Rs 5,150.

KATHMANDU, March 18: The prices of gold and silver declined in the local market today. Gold fell by Rs 2,200 per tola, while silver dropped by Rs 185.



According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA), the price of one tola of hallmarked gold now stands at Rs 307,700, while the same quantity of silver is priced at Rs 5,150.

On Tuesday, one tola of hallmarked gold traded at Rs 309,900, and silver at Rs 5,335, FENEGOSIDA reported.


In the international market today, one ounce of gold is trading at USD 5,000, while the same amount of silver is priced at USD 82, according to global media reports.
