According to Gitanagar Police Area Office, Suka Maya Pariyar, 23, committed suicide, possibly, due to her abject poverty. She hung herself in a tree in front of her house.
It is learnt that Pariyar, an orphan, was brought up by local couple accepting her as their only daughter, had been shouldering the responsibility of her parents.
Her parents who were surviving on her support have been left helpless after her death.
