Gurung was the minister for general administration only for a couple of days when Nepali Congress leaders, led by party General Secretary Krishna Prasad Sitaula, joined the current government. They quit the coalition over differences with UCPN (Maoist) over issues related to constitution writing ahead of dissolution of Constituent Assembly on May 27.[break]
"It is learnt that former Minister for General Administration Surya Man Gurung has not yet returned the vehicles provided by the state," CIAA Spokesman Ishwari Prasad Paudel told Republica. "We therefore sent a letter to the police chief to get the vehicle returned."
The CIAA has also instructed the police to find out if other unauthorized persons have been misusing the vehicles, drivers, fuels, maintenance expenses and other facilities provided by the state. It has also asked to stop such abuses and inform about the progress to the ministry of general administration, home ministry and the chief secretary of the government immediately.
