KATHMANDU, April 1: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has said the country is currently experiencing the effect of westerly wind and local wind.
It has resulted in generally cloudy weather in the hilly and mountainous regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, Sudurpaschim and Lumbini Provinces. However, it is partly cloudy in the Tarai region.

Some parts of Gandaki Province and some hilly and mountainous belts of Koshi, Bagmati, Karnali, Sudurpaschim and Lumbini Provinces are witnessing light rain and snowfall along with thunder and lightning.
The hilly and Tarai regions are likely to have partly cloudy weather later today. Light rainfall and snowfall are predicted in one or two places in the hilly and mountainous region in Koshi Province and the mountainous regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces.
