POKHARA, Feb 10: Few hours after Jawalakhel Youth Club (JYC) renewed its sponsorship contract with electronics brand Samsung in Kathmandu with a record signing amount, Karna Limbu scored four goals and guided JYC to the final of the 10th Aha Gold Cup football tournament, in Pokhara on Friday.

Jawalakhel thrashed Pune FC from India, 4-0, on the second semifinal match of the tournament.[break]

Jawalakhel dominated Pune from the very beginning of the match and took a lead in the seventh minute of the match. LL Rinte of Pune pulled down Limbu and Jawalakhel was awarded a free kick. Bishal Rai (Jersey No 9) took the free kick from 20 yards and Limbu utilized it to provide 1-0 lead to JYC.

Bishal Rai (Jersey No 10) beat Pune goalkeeper Bhushan Patil and passed it to Limbu in the 25th minute. Limbu´s header met the back of the net for a 2-0 lead.

Limbu completed his hat-trick three minutes later. Amar Subba met a pass from Bishal Rai (Jersey No 10) in the danger area but, in a display of a selfless game, Subba passed it to Limbu to let him complete hat-trick.

Limbu is the only player to complete hat-trick in the 10th edition of the Aha Gold Cup.

Limbu scored the fourth in the 50th minute of the match. Limbu scored in an unattended post as Pune keeper Patil was moving forward from his position.

After scoring four goals on Friday, Limbu became the highest scorer of the tournament so far. He had scored two goals against RCT.

Jawalakhel could have extended the lead in the 71st minute, had not the Bishal Rai´s (Jersey No 10) shot hit the woodwork.

Pune FC created very few scoring chances but could not capitalize them. L David´s free kick in the injury time of the first half hit the bar and L William shot wide in the 59th minute pass from David.

Pune FC Manager Ranjan Chaudhary said that they conceded two goals very early and could not settle after that. Chaudhary claimed that it was the worst defeat in his coaching career. "I´m upset as it was the worst defeat in my coaching career of three decades," said Chaudhary.

Jawalakhel Coach Kishor KC said that Pune failed to put up ´technical´ and ´tactical´ game against them. "We are here to play ´beautiful game´ and we´ll keep on improving," said KC.

Jawalakhel will lock horns with Laxmi Hyundai Manang Marshyangdi Club on Saturday.

"We are eyeing the trophy now. We want to create a history by winning it," said KC.
