"At this point, all I can say is that I am going to file my candidacy for the first -past the- post system," Khanal told Republica on Tuesday.
He further said that all the three major political parties - the UCPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress and the CPN-UML - have been pledging a ticket to him for the election slated for November 19.
When prodded, he only said, "I will join open politics very soon", and that he does not believe in securing seat under the PR system.
He also claimed that the locals of Palpa district had assured him of his victory.
