KATHMANDU: Federation of Nepalese Journalists (FNJ) on Wednesday submitted memorandum to Constituent Assembly (CA) members at parliament house at Singha Durbar. The memorandum has asked CA members help punish the guilty behind the attacks on media houses and safeguard press freedom and rights to expression. The umbrella body of journalists across the country has launched a series of protests in response to the attacks and threats on media by Maoist-affiliated trade union and police´s intervention on December 22 in FNJ´s peaceful rally at Maitighar Mandala in Kathmandu against the attack on Himalmedia on December 21. Maitighar Mandala is a prohibited zone for protests, though.
