KATHMANDU, Jan 31: CPN (Unified Socialist) submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Tuesday.
Unified Socialist Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal reached the Prime Minister's official residence in Baluwatar on Tuesday morning to submit the memorandum demanding that necessary steps be taken immediately to improve the economy and control inflation.

In the memorandum, the party has suggested Prime Minister Dahal conduct a campaign to free the economy from the capture of cronyism and corruption.
Chairman Nepal suggested to the government to take effective measures to curb migration of youths, students and skilled manpower and put emphasis on increasing agricultural production to make the economy self-reliant in food and guarantee the market for agricultural produce.
Among other things, the Unified Socialist has also asked the government to introduce compulsory skill training and patriotic lessons as a subject in the school curriculum from Grade 8 to 12.
